The Plant In Our Home Calamansi (Citrofortunella microcarpa /Citrofortunella mitis) is a round and small citrus fruit that is commonly used here in the Philippines for culinary and herbal uses. Calamansi is commonly used in the filipino cuisine as a condiment like in pancit, lugaw, or even in the sawsawan. When comes to the health benefits of the calamansi, it is very rich in vitamin C that is good in our health. One of the benefits of calamansi in our health is it can protect us from common colds and flu. That is why it is traditionally used as a treatment for certain diseases.
